Elite Junior High Performance Program 2009 - 2010

EIV Mission Statement
To provide a best practice environment in a local region (outer eastern Melbourne), that provides accessibility to athletes and parents while having the ability to consistently produce Victorian and National Junior Volleyball athletes and coaches.

AIMS

• To integrate an elite training environment utilizing and uniting current pathways while adding new ones by incorporating local volleyball schools and state league clubs
• Deliver a balanced program that will see volleyball becoming a positive part of the athletes’ lives.

• Maximize the identification, early and ongoing development of junior athletes across our region, utilizing the local volleyball schools as a talent identification network.
• Work in partnership with Junior State & National programs to develop a sustainable pathway for both athletes and coaches
• Deliver a balanced, professional and holistic program.

WHO ARE EIV
AGE GROUPS:
EIV age groups reflect current Australian Youth Team cycles. Athletes born in the following years are invited to trial for EIV 2009-2010:
Girls:
1993 (Youth) & 1994/1995 (Pre-Youth)
2010/11 Program Trials:
To be held mid March 2010
Plus current VTA Youth team squad members outside of this age bracket.

WHERE IS EIV
TRAINING VENUE: INDOOR PHASE

• Luther College Gym, Plymouth Rd, Croydon – Mondays & Wednesday 6:00pm to 8:00pm – no Monday day training during Victorian Volleyball League (VVL), as athletes are training and playing with clubs

TRAINING VENUE: BEACH PHASE

• Lilydale Lake beach area
